Wroyal Reign Lops

Our rabbits are each housed in thier own individual all wire cages from KW Cages and also Carnahan's. We use 30x36 for our English Lop seniors and brood cages, and 24x30 for our Juniors. Our Fuzzy Lops and Netherland Dwarfs are housed in 24x30 and also 18 x 24.

Each cage has floor support beams, urine guards and baby-saver wire. Our cages have all been converted to stacking units and we use Dura Trays which are cleaned and sanitized at least three times per week with Vanodine and soaked monthly in plain vinegar to remove calcium buildup and debris. We do use bedding in each tray which is a kiln dried pine and tends to reduce amonia buildup.

We use both Lixit widemouth bottles and have an automatic watering system in the second barn. We also provide each rabbit with an EZ Mat resting board and lots of different toys to play with.

Nutrition & Feeding

I am super particular about what our rabbits eat. We cut no expense and offer only premium quality feeds for optimum nutrition. We feed Templeton Feed brand rabbit food at a 16% protien. The English Lops are free fed and the American Fuzzy Lops and Netherland Dwarfs are generally given 1 ounce per pound of body weight.

Timothy grass hay is offered three times (or more) per week. I also use a propietary conditioning mix recipe which was passed down to me from Waymon Nipper. It includes Crimped Oats, Crimped Barley, Sweet Feed, Rice Bran, Flax Seed, Beet Pulp, Calf Manna, Black Oil Sunflower, and Oyster Shell. We give 1 Tbsp. per Fuzzy Lop and 2 Tbsp. per English Lop.

Marie Antos of Stretching Limits English Lops also has a wonderful conditioning mix recipe which is less expensive to mix. It includes: (1) part Rye flakes, (1) part Wheat flakes, (1) part Black Oil Sunflower Seeds, (1) part Barley flakes or Rolled Barley, (2) parts Rolled Oats, (2) parts crushed organic Cornflakes. I have used this recipe and my rabbits love it! For additional conditioning, I have also added (1/2) part calf mana and (1/2) part Flax Seed with great results.

Inside the Barn

Our barn project(s) have definately been a labor of love over the past several years. I am so happy with the end result and hope by posting these photos we have given visitors some fresh ideas for making their own ideal dream rabbit barns.

At this time we only have a few more leg and caster sets to purchase for the inside cages and will be ordering the last of the FineX feeders to complete these projects.

If you have any questions about our barns, please Contact Us.
